He watched through his telescope and then fine-tuned the aperture to get a better view as she poured steaming water into her cup.

Unaware that she was being observed, Maeve looked out on the glittering excess that is Las Vegas. Neon lights twinkled and taillights blinked on and off as the traffic wound its way down the miracle mile below. She sipped her tea and surveyed the tourists meandering along the sidewalks, shopping bags full of expensive shoes and designer clothes on their arms.

He wondered who she was thinking about, what was she waiting for. He could always tell when they were waiting. He made a mental note to look in on her later and adjusted his lens again in hopes of finding some action happening now.

Even though it was early, she decided to go to bed. At least if she was sleeping she wouldn’t be counting the minutes until he was there. She slid into the white cotton sheets and sighed softly. The combination of travel and tea made it easy to close her eyes and surrender to sleep.

Cole tried not to make any noise as he entered the hotel room. He loved finding her asleep in the nude, her face so peaceful and her body relaxed. It was one of their rules when they were together – no clothes in bed. Ever. He carefully placed a small black silk pillow over her eyes and moved to turn on the dim lamp in the far corner of the room. It was just enough light to enable him to see her beautiful form resting there before him, still unaware of his presence. (It was also just enough light to catch the interest of the voyeur, who was still searching for something interesting to watch.)

He cautiously pulled one corner of the bedding away, revealing the creamy pale skin of her breasts and rosy areolas. He noticed her nipples were hard and reached down to softly caress one. His touch caused it to crinkle and darken. His cock jerked in his pants as he thought about anointing each peak with a drop of his seed. It was one of his rituals, one of the ways he marked her as his own. Working as he did, he flew from city to city, hotel to hotel. Things were consistently inconsistent in that they met his needs, but always with a shade of difference. Her body was consistent in a way that grounded him. Her body was a touchstone that he could call up when he needed something familiar, something that felt like home in his nomadic life of moving from place to place. Her body always welcomed him in the most delicious ways.

He quickly undressed, quietly folding his clothes and placing them on a shelf in the closet. She stirred and he was still, hoping she hadn’t woken up. He wanted to wake her up, though he wasn’t sure yet just how. She usually slept deeply, so there was time for subtle play
